The Alliance implements joint initiatives that provide economies of scale and enable projects typically beyond the reach of individual Councils. Our project work is complimented by targeted advocacy, capacity building activities and regional partnerships.
To do this, EAGA will:
- Identify and implement initiatives within the EAGA region that assists the community to reduce greenhouse gas emissions
- Identify and implement emission reduction initiatives across Council operations
- Scope and develop data and information systems to support benchmarking, opportunity identification and monitoring progress (across Council and community)
- Undertake regional adaptation planning
